What kind of event is "TOKYO MEGA ILLUMINATION"?
This is an illumination event held only in winter at Oi Racecourse(Shinagawa Ward) on days when there are no horse races.
It has been ranked first in Walker Plus's "Ranking of illuminations you want to visit nationwide" for five consecutive years (2024), and has also been ranked first in the "Ranking of illuminations you're glad you visited nationwide" for three consecutive years (2024).
Inside the spacious and open racecourse, you can enjoy a variety of illuminations, including a fountain show and a 100m tunnel of light, as well as greetings with real horses, including Miniature Horse and Pony.
Additionally, on certain days, there are also events where you can experience Pony riding and Pony carriages (limited number of groups, advance reservations required, fee charged *separate from admission ticket), as well as a Lead Horse & Fountain Show.
It is close to the city center, has good access from Haneda Airport (there is a large Parking), and has a wide selection of restaurants and original goods.

What is the approximate time to visit the illuminations?
Because it uses the large grounds of Oi Racecourse, 1 hour ~ 1 hour 30 minutes is a guide.

How do I use the free invitation ticket?

What do you recommend to wear?
◆ Most of the illumination effects are outdoors, so warm clothes are recommended.
◆ Occasionally, strong winds may blow. Please be careful of ornaments that are easy to fly.
◆ Please note that depending on the situation on the day such as the wind direction, the water of the fountain show may hit you.
◆ The venue is very large, and there are places that involve going up and down the stairs. Please wear comfortable walking shoes.

Can minors enter the venue?
Horse races will not be held during Tokyo Mega Illumi's operation, so it is possible to enter only for underage guests.
However, children under elementary school age must come with an adult (guardian, etc...).
* On horse racing days, only guests under the age of 20 are not allowed to enter.

Can I re-enter?
Re-entry is possible. If you wish, we will give you a re-entry ticket, so please ask the entrance staff.
When you return to the venue, you can re-enter by presenting your re-entry ticket at the entrance.

Can I enter with my pet?
Since there are many horses staying in the racetrack, pets are not allowed except for assistance dogs (guide dogs, service dogs, hearing dogs) from the viewpoint of quarantine.
* Admission on buggies, etc. is also not possible.
* There is no temporary storage for pets.

Can I take a photo or video?
Both photos and videos are permitted, but live streaming and photo sessions are prohibited.
Customers engaging in live streaming or commercial filming without permission will be contacted by staff and may be asked to stop filming, erase any data, and take legal action.
*You may use small photographic equipment (tripods, etc.) when taking photos or videos for personal use. However, staff may ask you to refrain from using large equipment or using equipment in a way that is disruptive to other customers during busy times.
